Kaupthing Bank Takes Best Bank for Third Year


The Banker Awards 2006Kaupthing Bank has for the third year in a row been named the best bank in Iceland by The Banker magazine as announced in its December issue. The Banker's Country Awards recognize a single bank from each country for its overall performance, assessing not only the latest results and performance data, but also strategic developments and achievement as a whole.

Ármann Thorvaldsson, CEO of Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander, was in attendance at Banker Awards ceremony in London to receive the award on the Bank's behalf.
